0.20 Carat Diamond
A 0.20 carat diamond measures about 3.8 mm in diameter.
The diamond is identical in size to a 20 point diamond. The diamond weighs in normal weight measurements precisely 40 milligrams.
For comparison, if you look at a diamond half the size, it has a diameter of approximately 3.0 mm. In contrast, a diamond with twice the carat weight has a diameter of approximately 4.8 mm.
As you can see there is no doubling in the diameter of a diamond when the carat weight doubles, meaning that you're not getting as much extra visual size as you'd think as you increase from a size of 0.20 carats.
The reason why a 2 carat diamond doesn't appear to be twice as big as a 1 carat sized diamond relates to the difference between volumes and areas. One way of thinking about it is to think about people - a 120 kilogram person is almost never twice as tall as a person who weighs only 60 kilograms.
