0.91 Carat Diamond
A 0.91 carat diamond measures about 6.3 mm in diameter.
It is identical in size to a 91 point diamond. The diamond weighs in normal weight measurements precisely 182 milligrams.
For comparison, if you look at a diamond half the size, it has a diameter of approximately 5.0 mm. In contrast, a diamond with twice the carat weight is larger across the diameter with a value of 7.9 mm.
The result is that there is no doubling in the diameter of a diamond when the carat weight doubles, so in a way you get diminishing "bang for your buck" as you increase from a size of 0.91 carats.
An explanation for why a 2 carat diamond does not look to have twice as large a diameter as a 1 carat sized diamond is to do with a relationship between volume and area. You can reason about it by taking the example of people - compare the heights of a 200 pound person with a 100 pound person and there's rarely a factor of two in their height difference (i.e. if one's 6 feet tall the other is rarely as short as 3 feet).
