Diamond Pick of the Day
Here is where I find and select what I consider to be the best diamond deals of the day. These diamonds represent in my opinion the best balance of colour, clarity, cut and carat size. I'll also give some ideas on what types of rings to pair the diamonds with as well.
Please note that because I'm recommending a specific diamond, it may be gone when you go to look at it - don't despair though - you can wait for my next recommendation, or simply go searching yourself by clicking here.
The diamond photos below are ACTUAL PHOTOS OF THE REAL DIAMOND provided by JamesAllen. If you click on the photo you'll be taken to a webpage where you can actually zoom in on the photo of the diamond.

A 1.00 carat very good color diamond for today's pick. With VS1 inclusion quality you're pretty much guaranteed to not have any inclusions that are visible to the naked eye as well.

Rather than going for just below 0.5 carats or just below 1.0 carats today, I've picked a mid-range carat diamond - 0.61 carats. Also with a budget color rating of I - better than the bottom "whitish" diamond rating J. And a very good price too.

Another budget diamond pick today, but this time a princess cut diamond. 0.49 carats sits just below the 0.5 carat point.
The clarity is very good and the color is immaculate at a D rating. You're getting a better price because it has a slightly imperfect girdle but this really doesn't matter unless you're super fussy.

Today's diamond is a real stunner and a bargain to boot. It's a 0.97 Carat I-SI2 Ideal Cut Round Diamond. Picking a 0.97 carat size means the price is significantly less than the equivalent 1.0 carat diamond.
The clarity is not perfect but good, meaning the price is a lot cheaper. The Ideal Cut is also great. The I color is a very good value color - it will look pretty much white but be a lot cheaper than the higher color grades.
This diamond would look great in a classical solitaire ring, such as this setting:

Today's diamond is a budget winner with high quality across the board. It's a 0.47 Carat E-VS1 Ideal Cut Round Diamond. Picking a 0.47 carat size means the price is significantly less than the equivalent 0.5 carat diamond.
The clarity is quite good, meaning you'll be struggling to see any inclusions. The Ideal Cut is also great. The color is very good - this is a very white diamond that will look pure as snow. You can see from the photo how white the diamond is.
Because this diamond is of a moderate size, it would look great with accompanying diamonds, such as in a setting with 10 sidestones:

Today's diamond is for those who've got a bit of money and really want to treat / spoil someone / themselves. It's a 2.00 Carat H-SI2 Good Cut Round Diamond. 2 carats is really getting up there in size - it measures more than 8 mm across!
The clarity is not perfect but good, meaning the price is a lot cheaper. The Good Cut also helps keep the price down. The H color is a very good value color - it will look pretty much white but be a lot cheaper than the higher color grades.
Because this diamond is quite big, it doesn't need any backing or extra decoration. I'd go for a straight classical solitaire ring, something like this:

White Gold 3mm Comfort Fit Diamond Solitaire
